I believe that the decisions shaping our community should reflect the voices and values of the people who proudly call Coweta County home. My husband and I chose to raise our family here, and as parents of four children, we are deeply invested in the future of this community. We cherish the rural character that makes Coweta such a special place to live. Like many families, I want to preserve that way of life while planning responsibly for the growth of Coweta.

As a Certified Public Accountant, fiscal responsibility isn’t just a talking point for me — it’s what I do every day. I understand how crucial it is for families to trust that their hard-earned tax dollars are managed and allocated wisely to meet the needs of our county infrastructure and enhance public safety.

Our community leadership should reflect voices that understand the needs and desires of both young families and our retired constituents.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me with my family — exploring the woods and splashing in the creek, tending to our garden, chickens, and bees, cheering on my kids at their school clubs and team sports, or worshiping together at Crossroads Church. I’m also honored to serve as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in Coweta’s foster care system, where I stand alongside some of our community’s most vulnerable children and give them a voice. Additionally, I serve as a parent representative or volunteer with several committees and organizations, including the Coweta School Finance Committee, Blake Bass PTA, Blake Bass Science Olympiad, and Arbor Springs School Council.

When I saw the opportunity to serve, I knew it was a meaningful way to give back to the Coweta community that I call home. I’m committed to listening, leading with integrity, keeping Coweta rural, strengthening our infrastructure, supporting public safety, and ensuring that Coweta’s future planning considers the perspectives of young families like mine.

Please feel free to stop me in the grocery store and say hello. I’m in the same car line, shopping at the same grocery store, and cheering on my children at the same ball fields.

Public safety is one of the most important responsibilities of county government, particularly in Coweta County. I believe our first duty is to ensure that families, neighborhoods, and businesses feel safe in their communities. A key part of that responsibility is providing strong and consistent support for our Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department, and EMS. Our first responders put themselves in harm’s way every day to protect the people of this county, and they deserve the resources, equipment, training, and staffing necessary to do their jobs safely and effectively. This also means ensuring competitive, livable wages and benefits to retain experienced first responders and maintain a recruitment focus, allowing us to have the best serving our county. Safe communities require a proactive approach to crime prevention, which includes supporting community policing efforts, investing in modern public safety technology, and ensuring strong coordination between the Sheriff’s Office, local police departments, fire services, and emergency responders. Preventing crime before it happens is always better than reacting after the fact. Another priority must be the safety of our schools. Parents should have confidence that their children are safe while they are learning. I support maintaining strong partnerships between the Sheriff’s Office and our school system, including the presence of school resource officers and coordinated emergency response planning to protect students, teachers, and staff. Public safety is not just about responding to emergencies; it’s about building a community where people feel secure raising their families, starting businesses, and investing in their future. As part of my community leadership, I will continue to support policies that strengthen law enforcement, prioritize crime prevention, and maintain safe communities and schools across Coweta County.

As a mother with young children who are heavily involved in sports, I understand how vital access to local parks, playgrounds, and recreation facilities is for families in Coweta County. It would be fantastic to have more recreational facilities and ball fields in our part of the county. Currently, many families find themselves driving over 30 minutes one-way just to reach sporting events, recreational fields, basketball gyms, and other extracurricular activities. The existing community gym is closed on weekends and shuts down at 5:00 pm two nights a week, making it challenging for working parents. Expanding gyms and recreation facilities in District 3 with more accessible hours would significantly enhance public safety and quality of life for families balancing work, school, and extracurricular activities. When we have to drive across the county for activities, our children often end up playing sports with kids from different neighborhoods. While that can be a great experience, it frequently leads to playdates, team gatherings, and birthday parties being 30 minutes away. More facilities closer to home would help our children form friendships with kids in their own neighborhoods and schools. Additionally, tennis courts and pickleball courts would be a wonderful addition, offering recreational opportunities for teenagers, adults, and seniors. District 3 also boasts beautiful land where walking trails and hiking paths could be developed for residents of all ages to enjoy. As Coweta County continues to grow and District 3 develops, community leadership in expanding parks and recreation would not only improve the quality of life for families but also help reduce traffic on weekends and evenings. When families have local options for sports and recreation, they won't need to drive across the county for every activity. Investing in parks, trails, ball fields, and recreation facilities in District 3 would provide families with more opportunities to stay active and engage with their neighbors.

Economic development in Coweta County should prioritize bringing quality jobs and long-term opportunities to our community while safeguarding the character of our neighborhoods and being responsible with taxpayer dollars. I support economic development that fosters stable jobs for the residents here. This involves attracting businesses and industries that offer long-term employment, livable wages, and significant investment in our local economy. When our residents can work close to home, it strengthens families, reduces long commutes, and keeps more economic activity within Coweta County. At the same time, growth must be responsible and well-planned. Economic development should occur in areas that are properly zoned and supported by the necessary infrastructure, including roads, utilities, and public safety services. We should focus on enhancing our existing industrial and commercial areas rather than pushing inappropriate development into rural or residential parts of the county. I also believe in the importance of community leadership and working closely with local businesses. Supporting the companies that are already established here is just as vital as attracting new ones. Small businesses, manufacturers, and locally owned companies are the backbone of our local economy, and they deserve a county government that listens and collaborates with them. Responsible economic development should strengthen our tax base, create job opportunities, and improve quality of life while preserving the values and character that make Coweta County a great place to live and raise a family.

Community leadership plays a crucial role in ensuring that zoning classifications exist to create predictability, protect property owners, and ensure compatibility between land uses. When we begin placing heavy industrial facilities into rural or non-industrial zones, we undermine the very framework that responsible long-term planning depends on.

If data centers are going to be part of Coweta County’s future, they should be located where they belong—in areas zoned for heavy industrial use, where the infrastructure is designed to support them and where the surrounding land uses are appropriate for that level of development.
